Amelia and Gus’ love story began in 2016, when they first met on a group holiday to Europe, with their first kiss shared in the picturesque town of Hvar. Four years later, after building a life together and adopting three cats, they decided to marry in the place where their journey began. For Gus, Croatia held a deeper significance, as it was the birthplace of his grandparents and a place close to his heart. Marrying in this special location felt like the perfect way to honour their love and his heritage. When it came to selecting their photographer, Amelia and Gus were drawn to One Day Studio after receiving a glowing recommendation from their wedding planner. The couple instantly fell in love with our photographic style and knew we would be the right choice to capture their celebration.

Before the wedding, Amelia reached out with a special request—a bridal photoshoot to surprise Gus. Zvonimir, keeping the secret as planned, suggested adding a boudoir shoot to the experience. Despite initial nerves, Amelia was soon at ease as Zvonimir’s professional yet energetic approach made her feel comfortable and confident. Reflecting on the experience, Amelia recalls that the bridal shoot became one of the most memorable parts of their wedding weekend.

On their wedding day, Zvonimir and the team worked seamlessly to capture every moment, big and small. When an unexpected thunderstorm arrived, instead of letting it disrupt the day, we used it creatively to produce stunning and unique photos.

During the couple’s photo session, Zvonimir’s natural talent for making them feel comfortable in front of the camera allowed for genuine, candid moments of joy, laughter, and connection.
